Lawsuit Filed Against Equifax On Behalf of Man Named “God”

On April 11, 2014, Fishman & Mallon, LLP filed a federal lawsuit against Equifax, one of the “Big 3” credit reporting agencies, on behalf of God Gazarov, a Russian immigrant named after his grandfather. Despite his excellent credit history with Experian and Trans Union, Mr. Gazarov has had difficulties for years obtaining loans, and has paid unfairly high interest rates, because Equifax failed and refused to recognize his identity as legitimate. Mr. Gazarov contacted Equifax many times but his efforts were ignored. The suit claims violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act and seeks unspecified money damages and injunctive relief.

The complaint can be found here.
