Before meeting with him, I was extremely stressed and did not think I (the little guy) would be able to fight this fight against the landlord (the big guy) after I received a notice advising me that the lease for my rent stabilized apartment would not be renewed. Once it was all gathered, they sent a letter with hundreds of pages of the supporting documents. We did not receive a response for weeks, but I was assured by James and Reuben that this was just the easiest first step and not to worry. Sure enough - a few weeks later I received an email from James with the words "Good News" in the subject line. The landlord would be sending me a renewal lease. Thankfully we did not have to go to trial, but I know if we had that it would have been successful because of James and his team.
